    L20T & Sony Mini HiFi?

I'm in need of an inexpensive temporary solution for a pair of recently acquired L20Ts, and was considering one of Sony's mini hi-fi systems. The MHC-EC79i is 190W/channel and 8 Ohms. Would it be okay to run L20's with? (6 Ohm, Recommended 100 Watt Continuous.)

    Thanks!

Yes, it will work, assuming you are not running a dance floor and running either of them into distortion. At reasonable listening levels, you'll be OK. Will it sound good? No. Mini-systems have horrible quality amplifiers and so much EQ and simulated surround processing that kill sound quality. I'd hunt Craigslist for a cheap old receiver - <$100 and you should be able to find a really good sounding Harman Kardon, Nakamichi or other receiver. Good luck!
