LSR12P - Ports

I bought a pair of LSR12P's off ebay ($372).

A couple of issues:

First, looking at the tech spec sheet here

I see that there is supposed to be an inside port flare section. Neither one of my subwoofers have this, nor can I tell if this piece is loose inside the speaker. I flipped the subs around etc to look for sounds of this section being loose inside and I can't hear it. The question is, do all the subs actually come with the inner port flare section? If not, can I buy this part separately?

Second, on of the subs had the woofer dust cap pushed in. The previous owner or seller punched a few holes in it to pull it back out. Do I need to try to replace the dustcap? If so, how? If it doesn't affect anything, I could live with it.

Pull the woofer out and see if the port is in there...

If no, the part number is in the .pdf you linked to, call JBL for availability. Dust caps are replaceable, but as long as the holes are not whistling, you can leave it as is. A dab of glue can seal the holes...

One of the subwoofers had the 2nd half of the port detached and in the box, the other subwoofer was missing the 2nd half of the port.

I was under the impression these two just slipped together but it seems like they have to be glued together or something. Anyone know for certain before I start doing something I shouldn't?

I have no idea if the ports are the same, but this ebay seller had LSR32 frontplates for sale some times ago :

They did not sell so maybe he still has them

I also have a set of used LSR32s that I have yet to unbox. If I am missing any ports on those and depending on how much JBL wants for it, that may be an option I try.

I just bought some JB Weld and, hoepfully, that puts one of the subwoofers in perfect operational shape.

While I missed out on the LSR32 Tent Sale blowout a while back, I think this generation of LSR speaker (pre-RMC) are decent used values. And Since I'll be using Audyssey or Pioneer MCACC anyway, I figure I'm not missing anything by using the previous generation.
