    D140F Connection

    Which pole is positive on a D140. If I remember red is neg

    With a 9V battery, momentarily connecting the + battery terminal to the red speaker terminal, and the - battery terminal to the black speaker terminal, the cone should move backwards, into the speaker basket. This was backwards from most other speaker manufacturer's conventions.

    Connect it whichever way sounds best to you. If both ways sounds the same, I'd connect it so that a positive signal pulls the cone into the basket. It's safer to have the speaker bottom out, rather than pop out of the gap.
