    JBL 112a

Ok I received my 112A speakers yes they are the "a" version not "h" but the last person to refoam, put surround on the outside of the cone rather than inside. Aside from esthetic's, and ruining a perfectly good cone !!!, the spider is flush, is there any problem with using them this way?

    Thanks

They should be ok to go, but if you aren't sure, I'm just a couple provinces over. Send them to me and I'll test run them for a year or so for ya !

Now that's funny. i have 4 112A drivers, all oddballs lol One is smooth cone, one ribbed and two with surrounds mounted backwards. Hows that for luck on a harder to find driver.

The original cones were ribbed. When I had my first pair reconed after 20 years hard use, a shop in Sac. CA used the smooth cones. As I bought other 112a I had them refoamed or reconed., until there were no longer any more kits.
