    Aluminum vs Pascalite diaphragm (GPA)

I have a pair of 802-8g drivers and I might be tempted to switch the aluminum diaphragms to pascalite ones when I send them to GPA to have the magnets recharged. Although I am planning on using them a bit for PA which explains why I need a bit more power handling, i will also use them in a home environment. Can anyone comment on the difference in terms of sonic attributes? Are they going to sound as good? same extension? Are they worth it?

    thanks

According to Jerry Hubbard who was in charge of the Pascolite project at ALTEC, they measured and sounded identical to the aluminum in the smaller format drivers (800-900 series). Those who claim to be able to hear grass grow say the aluminum ones have more HF. I don't buy it, from my extensive use and listening, they sound the same. In my opinion, there is no reason to ever buy the aluminum ones. The only difference between the two is that the Pascolite uses a different alloy and is heat treated, but is sure is more durable.
