Would these be the PAS offerings with the the 2425 coaxial drivers? Assuming they function properly, would they be any good? I note that OCS still carries PAS cones at reasonable prices.
Thanks

They look like the 801B cones that urei used in their monitors for a short time after they were bought by JBL and before the E145 was re-machined to become the LF assy ( 801C )
I never liked the sound when JBL or Eminence did the 15 inch Urei stuff....Thats just me. (ok, I take that back, I do appreciate the 12 inch coax Urei 809, that sounds perty good) I think the Urei Altec versions sound fuller and brighter.

The finned magnet covers look to be Electrovoice DL15 or EVM15's.

Waste of money IMO, unless you're looking for a curiosity of some sort. They're okay as a dated piece of JBL/UREI history, but otherwise, no.
I've been intrigued by coaxial drivers, but after hearing these, I was not interested in them, and I could have had identical units for next to free.
Out.
No guarantee these came from a Urei monitor...But...maybe. The combo isn't that rare as PAS used this set-up as an option as well as TAD, Renkus, Emilar, P-Audio over the years when Larry and Marilyn Doran owned it before they sold at a very good time.
They either are PAS CX-1580 or CXL-1580. Any 1" compression driver can be bolted to the back cover adapter. They are fine speakers, especially when used with time alignment, or Time Offset Correction crossovers. Altec 604 is a big influence on the design, with the exception of being able to choose your HF driver.
