always the same problem for Cd horn.I am not satisfied with the horn2332 with compression 2430. Is the medium too present (1khz-5khz)? Did make measurements for 2332/2430? The replacement of the 2332 by 2344 is perfect for sound balance except for absence of tweeter.

Herve - are you using some kind of adapter to match the 1.5" 2430/2435 with 1" 2344?

Did you decide that the 2435H sounded better than the 2430H or even acceptable with the 2332 horn? Do you know if the 2435H is acoustically the same as the 2435HPL?

I've been contemplating a system similar to what you've been posting about, except using a 2012H instead of the 2123. And trying to decide if I should go for used 2435HPL or new 2430H. 'Serious price difference if replacing diaphragms!! But your experiences make me think that maybe I should look for a 2425/2426 with the 2344 instead. Decisions, decisions...

    Hello Herve

Glad to see you still at it! You are using a 2344 with the 4430/4435 compensation?? I am running in a pair of 4344 right now. My mains use a 2344 horn and they don't sound like they are missing all that much even up against the 4 way with the 2405. Sure they are rolled off a bit and drop like a rock when they go but they sure sound fine. The two are different details seem clearer with the slot and brush work on cymbals is clearer but it's kind of subtle. The 2344 still sounds good.

John, Rob, the difficulty to use 2430 comes owing to the fact that the horn 2332 is not that from the 4348. With an easy engine 2425/26 , it is used in much models and sounds always well with the horn 2344 or 2307/2308. Then I put 2344 on the 2430, without adapter (yes, I know is incorrect), and the sound good: soft medium, engraves percussion. Do I have to saw the 2344 (the end of the ears) to obtain a compact horn? In can't the USA, one obtain the 4348 horn or H9800?

Can you cross at 1.2K?? You might want to look into a 2342 if you like the 2344. It is a lot smaller only 9x9.

yes, however the sound 2342 is very different. I prefer 2344 (bass, high medium). No, ideal is the availability of 045ti and 4348 horn.

    2344 clone

    Hello,

P-audio makes a 1.5 inch 2344 clone called PH 316. Maybe this can solve your problem?

yes, to use the paudio evite to saw my beautiful 2344. But the 045ti is essential with the 2430 bus the 2430 is not as fine as the 2426 for high frequency.
