    Tri-amping C60 Soveriegns S8r

can anyone make a recommendation as to what I might use for a crossover? as well as the ideal amp wattage for the woofer, mid, and tweeter?

I've recently been running them in bi=amp, using a Pyramid DJ type crossover... with a 200watt Soundcraftsman amp into the woofer, and a Mac 2502 (50 wpc) into the horn/tweeter.

it sounds pretty darn good, but i'm not sure an $80 crossover is the ticket, nor is the old Soundcraftsman amp.

i'd really like to get these suckers singing as well as they can.

    Advice?

    Thanks

    Aaron

Short answer... bi-amp instead of tri-amp. Use a smallish tube amp up top... the Soundcraftsmen is OK, but a vintage Crown of about that power level would be better down below and use a Marchand crossover. Their tube unit is quite nice. If you really want to go tri-amp, still get a Marchand, and buy two tube amps.
