    goop?

    I've got a pair of D140F(c1970) that were in the upright position for about
    30 years ....there is this stuff all around but collected at the relative bottom
    of the front edge.......is this the infamous "goop"?....looks like coke syrup

    They need to rotated every few years.

    Yes after a while the goop will slide down, just rotate the speaker 180deg.
