    4312se

    Hi to all!
What do you guys think of these 70th anniversary models?
I have an option on a pair at what I feel is a good price but they are more than 3 hours away
What are your impressions of this system as compared to other classic JBL control monitors past and or current wide range compact models?
    Thanks

Personally I think they missed the mark... but I have only read about it and have not heard the SE speakers.

I am not a fan of the black "wood" and ridiculous logo. The driver compliment is certainly adequate, but hardly exciting.

    Hi
Thanks for sharing but hopefully I'd like to hear from someone who owns a pair or at least has actually heard them
    Thanks

That would be good, and better yet you'd have the opportunity to hear them yourself. Both of these will be difficult though as I doubt many of these speakers have been delivered to dealers or sold. They were initially offered to dealers at the end of February so they have only been available for a few months.

I have a question for you. What about these speakers appeals to you? I assume they are being offered to you between $1,000 and $2,000 for the pair. There are a lot of good new speakers to choose from in this price range and if you hunt there are serious bargains in the used/vintage market.

I would also be very appreciative if anyone who owns a pair of these would mind sharing with me, in confidence, what you paid
Most published pricing is in pounds or yen so I'm not solid on how good a deal I'm being offered, or if or how I should counter when the rubber meets the road!
Production will be limited obviously don't know if that will translate over into a workaday version after this year
    Thanks

The woofer looks much more 'solid' compared with the previous models. And the pleated surround has been changed.

    looks like a winner

It should be easy to find an on-line currency converter that will let you know those prices in US $.

If exchange rates and retail prices for durable goods were that simple!
The prices given in Brit hi-fi rags are CES guesstimates and the Japanese selling prices I've seen are miles apart
As was mentioned, this model has only been out a few months that's why I'm here asking if anyone owns a pair

I'm a JBL Synthesis dealer. The retail price is $2500 pr. Some dealers may offer them at a discount, most will not.

I'm not sure if that helps you.

    4312se = 44 hz

    Frequency Response (-6dB): 44Hz - 40kHz

    I like my old 120Ti's fr better = 35Hz〜27kHz -6dB
and they sure cost less than 2,500.
