    240ti crossover

I have a pair of 240ti's and have recently put into my system and noticed a difference in sound quality coming from each speaker. Traded sides and the sound was the same but now on opposite sides. changed amps, wires, nothing helped. One has a much bolder brighter sound. To make a much longer story shorter I have found a difference in the crossover. I was wondering if there was different boards installed over time as these don't have matching ser#. If not is there any photos here I can use as ref. to determine if one has been modified, can post photos of these boards if needed.

    Thanks Jerry

You'll find a small XO schematic on that tech sheet. Any competent technician can check out the XO for you with that schematic.

But I vote for a cooked driver, either mid or tweet.

they may not be up to par but all are working. the crossovers in the cabs are different I will post a photo of each if I can so all can see what I am working with.

Thank you very much. As you can see I have two different configurations. may not be all the problem but has to be part of the problem, looks like a bit of mod went on here.

    - When capacitors ( the long cylindrical devices pictured ) are wired up in parallel with each other , the final value is the sum of the individual values .

    - What's important is the final ( summed ) value .

    - Add up the values of the caps that are wired together in parallel / compare that value to the cap(s) in the same ( position ) of the other crossover / and then report back to us your findings .

    >< cheers
