    L300 distortion

    Hey fellas!

Just need your advice, fired up my L300 and after a few minutes of clear sound, there is distortion on 1 channel. I switched the amp and the sound became distortion free until 5 minutes later distortion came back. What could it be??

Loose internal terminals or capacitors? Anything I should check? How would I do it?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Were you on the same source?

Could be anything in the chain.. It isn't common to have speaker distortion that comes and goes like that..

I'd switch the wires going to the speakers and see if it follows the wire or the speaker... Also, put the amp in mono, if you have that switch and see if it goes to both channels. Those are a couple easy checks to rule some things out.

Also check the level controls on the L300s. Rotate them back and forth numerous times (better yet, clean the pots) and see if that helps. Could be oxidation/corrosion on the contacts.
