Does this look like a blue diaphragm?

guys, i have been trying to get a pair of 077 though ebay and saw one but bidding ended anyway, just curious if all 077 comes in blue diaphragm? does the picture look like its blue? By the way what would be consider a fair price for a pair of mint conditioned 077?

My 077 looks blue as well

Maybe it's an optical effect, anyway: my 077 looks blue as well.

The original diaphragms had a blue ring around them. If the drivers haven't seen hard use these diaphragms are desirable. The later diaphragms have had either a silver or a gold toned outer ring.

There does appear to be slight blue tint in the plexiglass, most likely reflection of the original diaphragms.

    The diaphrams appear correct.

I would not call them "mint" however because it looks (to me) like the mounts have been "resprayed." Typically you would expect to see a white stamping on the mount that I don't see. Respraying covers this stamp.

what would be a reasonable price for this pair?

I intend to replace a 2405 in my 4333b, would there be any issue?

    I'm detecting a pattern here.

As a point of reference, the last new pair I bought from JBL were
~$250USD/each. I thought that was good, fair, and reasonable.

Watch eBay for a day or two and you will get a good idea of what old JBL
    ring radiators sell for.

Why not get your existing 2405 repaired?

JBL distributor here does not have 077 in stock and you will need to wait up to 3 months for ordering one . Are there any site that i can order a new pair from?

There are no new 077's being produced or for that matter any of the bullet or slot tweeters. If they would be produced on a custom limited scale the price would be crazy. After saying that maybe they are doing limited productions for the Europe and Asia markets, again I say maybe! As we know JBL does have certain high end model speakers only for the export markets.

I'm sure there are still some new old stock out there to be found, most likely the later ceramic magnet versions.
