    Question Model 19 crossover Help

    Hello All.

I am looking for some help...... My father in law owns a pair of Altec Lansing model 19's and one of the cross overs is giving trouble after much searching we have come to realize that two (2) of the capacitors are dead :
"8us@75 volts AC" and "6us @50Volts np"..... so my question is weather those capacitors can be found and purchased? if so where?

    or

should we buy a new crossover and where can buy it from?

    thank you kindly....

    Parts Express #027-388, 8 uF, 58¢

There is no 6 uF, so use #027-326, 2.7 uF, and #027-328, 3.3 uF, in parallel, 77¢ total.

Same deal if you want to move up to film caps:

#027-416 || #027-420 for 6 uF, and two #027-421 in parallel for 8 uF, $7.38 total for the works.

In either case, replace the caps in both speakers....
