Jimmy Smith, Plays Fats Waller, 1962, Blue Note USA, BST 84100

And he plays it very well. Listen to the Leslie-Speakers. The magic of the sound lies in the "Doppler-Effect"!
Quentin Warren, guitar. Donald Bailey, drums. Listen to "Ain't she sweet" A3.
    O, thank you!

Isley Brothers & Santana, Power Of Peace, 2017, Legacy Germany, 544 8551

Passionate vocals and impressive guitar sound as Carlos used to play on Santana 1-3. Perfect warm vinyl dynamics. Listen to 1961 Curtis Mayfields "Gypsy Woman" C1.

Hearing "Elizabeth Reed" transported me back to an evening in 1971 where I was returning
to NAS North Island in the MGB and got to our ships parking, heard this and couldn't shut
off the car, just sat there transfixed by the FM radio

"Midnight Rider" was a great bonus too. Very nice on vinyl.
Been enjoying this a couple of more times and when I was last on our library's website,
noticed that they had the remastered CD. Put a hold on it and picked up yesterday.

Funny, didn't hear it sound any better than the vinyl. . Must have been recorded well
and not really in need of remastering.
Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles
