Lee Hazlewood, Trouble Is A Lonesome Town, 1963, RCA Germany, LSP 10359

A storytellers album. A cross between a novel full of idiosyncratic character studies and a John Wayne Western (cit: Stanton Swihart/AMG). 1971 reissue. Listen to Lee's bariton voice in title track B5.

Peter Skellern, Hard Times, 1975, Island England, ILPS 9352

A strange one. Mick Green (The Pirates) guitar. Slide guitar solo by George Harrison on "Make love not war" B2. Strange but beautiful: "Let's sleep late" B4. Superb cover art by Tony Wright: he made the cover art for Traffic's "Shoot out at the fantasy factory", "The low spark of high heeled boys" etc.

Time capsule film and record. 51 years since this one. Today we live in a totally different world. For mankind some things are better today, but...

Look at my post of 12-19-2016. A very fine record!
What's the meaning of "marmaduke" (back cover credits for John Dawson)?

Janne Schaffer, Earmeal, 1978, CBS Holland, 83002

Typical 70ies European Vikings-funkrockjazz. Hot tracks for cool cats. Powerful rhythm group: Jeff, Mike and Joe Porcaro. Listen to "Oriental sign" B4. This track and "Frederick's place" B5 is a salute to Al DiMeola.
Schaffer played the guitars for ABBA. Anybody knows ABBA?
