Totally weird. Zappa meets Beefheart within my nightmare. Welcome to my nightmare.

Found last saturday in Brockenhaus Schaffhausen: Holland pressing by Ariola-Eurodisc.
Mixed by Jesse Ed Davis at Sunset Studio, Los Angeles.
Many beautiful songs. Songs and cover art are a bit depressive. Listen to the beautiful "One in a hundred" A5.
Indeed, this one is one of the best in a hundred of albums.

Aretha Franklin, Live At Fillmore West, 1971, Atlantic France, 840 008 U

    French pressing.
Billy Preston, organ. Saxophon and leader of orchestra: King Curtis.
The Kingpins are: Dupree, Jemmott, Purdie, Morales, Thomas.
    Plus The Memphis Horns.
Listen to tracks B2/B3 with the reprise of "Spirit in the dark" as Ray Charles replaces Aretha after she says: "Would you play just a little bit for us?" leading into a hot soul jamming: Oh Aretha......

Jeff Beck, Guitar Shop, 1989, Epic Holland, 463472 1

Some kind of tragedy. Great guitar playing. But he can't write any songs. No, not only one little pretty one....
    Ask Paul McCartney!

Jimmy Page/Jeff Beck/John Bonham, Smoke And Fire, 1985, ThunderBolt UK, THLB2022

Legend is: this is the worst album ever. True or not?
It's the album previously released in 1970, called " Lord Sutch and heavy friends".
A weird one because of the strange vocals by "Screaming" Lord Sutch. But there's interesting guitar playing by Page and Beck. Yardbirds meets Led Zeppelin. Rock music history!
Listen to Jimmy Page's solo in B6 "Baby come back".
    Forget the vocals......

Listen to the fantastic live version of Yardbird's "Jeff's Boogie" A3. Jeff Beck on top.
Recorded live in Osaka 18./19. Mai 1973.
    Great guitar stuff....

Harvey Mandel, Electronic Progress, 1976, Bellaphon Germany, BLPS 19020

German 1970ies Bellaphon pressings are among the best vinyl issues in Europe. Incredible dynamics. In USA this one is named "Baby Batter".
These jam tracks were recorded live in A&M Studios, San Francisco. Larry Taylor, bass.
Howard Wales, fantastic organ playing in track A4 "Morton Grove Mama".
Note on back cover: Special thanks to Harry Nilsson wine consultant and bearer.
To Hank Cicalo, master of the 16 tracks, is payed tribute in "Hank the ripper" B3. Listen to that slow 12 bar blues with so much feeling teased out of the Gibson Les Paul.

Congratulation to you, because you have reached the amount of 5000 posts. I will never reach it in my life, because i write too much. I always need much time to translate correctly from Swiss German into English language. But it's getting better all the time. But there' s a lot to say and ask about these fantastic vinyl treasures......
