Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gimme Back My Bullets, 1976, MCA England, MCL 1653

Who had stolen their bullets? And why did he?
Mediocre dynamics on this English pressing.

Black Oak Arkansas, Street Party, 1974, Atlantic Germany, ATL 50 057, Promo

A "North Side" and a "South Side". Is there any difference concerning the tracks? Anybody able to explain? OK "Dixie" B4 is a southern rock reminiscence. It's southern rock at all on north and south sides and everywhere...

Raul De Souza, Sweet Lucy, 1977, Capitol Germany, 1C 064 85208

Hats off to this fantastic but often neglected instrument: the trombone.
Wonderful album to listen to on a bright sunday morning like this while working in the kitchen.
Mercifully not too much polluted by synthesizers though it was produced by George Duke.
Listen to the furious trumpet solo by Freddy Hubbard on "Bottom heart" B4.

Nicolette Larson, In The Nick Of Time, 1979, WB Germany, WB 56 750

Too much of sugarcoated lightweight-MOR-production by Ted Templeman though these studio cracks were involved: Paul Barrere guitar, Bob Glaub bass, Bill Payne kb, Jim Horn sax et al.
But Nicolette Larson's voice is a gem in this "Humpta-Humpta" sounds.
One song is outstanding because it's not "over-produced": Lowell George's "Trouble" B5 only with this beautiful piano by Van Dyke Parks and her voice.

Robben Ford, Talk To Your Daughter, 1988, WB Germany, 925647-1

Concerning my last post about Ted Templeman's production of Nicolette Larson's LP: this one was not produced by TT.
Fortunately he only had the job of the "executive" producer.
This is a big one with Roscoe Beck, Vinnie Colaiuta and Russell Ferrante.
Listen to this guitar anthem: B2 Russell Ferrante's "Revelation".
    Unfortunately i don't have a daughter......

"California Blue" from his last LP "Mystery Girl" produced by Jeff Lynne. Test your Hifi equipment with this one!
Maximum dynamics. Love these maxi single pressings (if it's not Disco-Schrott)!
