The Beau Brummels - Volume 2
    (1965, Autumn)

produced by Sly (Stone) Stewart. sounds great with pronounced low frequencies and jangly guitar - some tracks sound like a darker version of the '65 Byrds.

so my fantastic Arcam FMJ CD player has sat inactive while I spin vinyl .... I was on the library web site recently and decided to search on "remastered" , lots of hits - put a lot of CD's on hold

the CD player produces a detailed, nearly 3d image on normal CD's , but on the new remastered ones it's quite an experience thru the a/d/s 1290's.

Just finished McCartney's Ram , WOW ... then the Goldfinger movie soundtrack , Rolling Stones "Big Hits" and finally LZepp's "Physical Grafitti" (3 disk set)

much as I like LP's, these disks were otherwordly

the downside to the Arcam is that it doesn't play burned disks and it's error correction is poor. Fortunately, when I copy CD's from it to the MD deck, all the special-ness comes thru fine.
Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles

Guy Fletcher, Same, 1971, Philips Holland, 6303 013

One for this sunny sunday morning. A lost gem. Produced by Anita Kerr & Alex Grob.
Anita Kerr (from Memphis, Tennessee) opened and managed Mountain Recording Studios in Montreux, Switzerland, with her Swiss husband Alex Grob. The technical equipment of this studio was of the highest possible standards in the 70ies. Queen, Bowie, Stones, Chris Rea recorded their works in Mountain Studios. Anita Kerr still lives in Geneva, Switzerland. Alex Grob is a famous manager in rock music business.
Guy Fletcher and Doug Flett were successful songwiters. Listen to their song "I can't tell the bottom from the top" A4 (later a hit by the Hollies).
    Fantastic song! Like prayer.....
