Note on inner sleeve:"We felt that having Diz record with today's hot young players, utilizing the state-of-the-art digital recording technology, would present an arena where the creative juices could flow".

Ian Gomm, Summer Holiday, 1978, Albion England, ALBG 100

Some beautiful flowers in the dirt. If you like Paul McCartney/Elvis Costello-collaboration on 1989 album "Flowers in the dirt", you will love this one! Listen to a cool version of Chuck Berry song "Come on" track A4 (not noted on backcover song-list). Herbie Flowers (what a beautiful name!!!) knows how to play the Beatles-bass guitar.....
Happy summer holiday to every fan of vinyl albums and to every visitor of this thread!

Dickey Betts & Great Southern, Same, 1977, Arista USA, AL 4123

A feast of Les Paul Gibson guitars and bottlenecks.
Mediocre dynamics. Deadwax inscription: Sterling and a destroyed inscription.
Big fish. Modern music (T-shirt). Modern music since 40 years.....

Billy Cobham, Life & Times, 1976, Atlantic USA, SD 18166

John Scofield is fighting against too many synthesizers. No chance. There are only 2 acceptable tracks: "Song for friend" part 1/part 2. The rest hasn't any soul and is simply boring.
    Waste of vinyl.

Free, Live!, 1971, Island Germany, 85 535 ET

One of the most enthralling live recordings. Wonderful 70ies live rock concert vibes.
Live 1970 at Croydon and Sunderland. Track B4 "Get where i belong" is a March 1971 Island Studio recording.
A great voice and an incredible intensive Les Paul Gibson guitar played soulfully.
Listen loud to track B2 "Mr. Big"!
Mr. Big No1: Kossoff was one of the best guitar players. A tragedic career.
Mr. Big No2: Rodgers still is one of the best rock singers. A phenomenal career.
Very good 1977 German Island pressing by Alsdorf.

Ian Hunter & Mick Ronson, YUI Orta, 1989, Mercury Holland, 838 973-1

The twin wizards produced their last witches brew together. Hey, these 2 boys can make big noise!
    And majestic hymns!
Listen to instrumental hymn B5 "Sweet dreamer", a Ronson-masterpiece, full of grace.
The title of this album: "Why you? I oughta!". Soon after, Mick Ronson has died of liver cancer.....
