purchased new in '74 or '75, lots of great memories & listening with this record.

Flowers on the hillside, bloomin' crazy,
Crickets talkin' back and forth in rhyme,
Blue river runnin' slow and lazy,
I could stay with you forever
    And never realize the time.

A little bit melancholy, speakerlabfan? Hey, next spring will come soon! While waiting for it, let's have fun with our vinyl treasures as the days get shorter and shorter.

Stevie Wonder, Someday At Christmas, 1978, Tamla USA, T7 362 R1

Track A3: composer of "Ave Maria" was Franz Schubert in 1825. He lived in Vienna, Austria. He was a singer and played violin and had composed more than 600 "songs". Schubert died when he was 31 years old because of typhus infection complicated by syphilis. Ave!

Isn't this one the Christmas LP with the most beautiful cover art? Keith Haring 1987.
Listen to one of the most touching Christmas Songs ever: track A5 "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" by Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders.

    A friend picks up a 45 yesterday

    .
by some unknown ....Bonnie Jo Mason
but he noticed that it was Phil Spector produced , and on a
label that he'd not seen before (Annette 1000) ....10 cents.

turns out it was .... well here's what the web says

"Cherilyn Sarkisian was born in California in 1946; she was 17 when she first met Salvatore "Sonny" Bono, a songwriter and protégé of producer Phil Spector. Sonny brought her to Spector, who used her as a backup singer and produced one single by her, a novelty Beatles tribute record called "Ringo I Love You" issued under the name Bonnie Jo Mason. It disappeared without a trace, but the couple were undaunted -- they emerged as a duo, initially called Caesar & Cleo, later that year, and cut "The Letter," "Do You Wanna Dance," and "Love Is Strange."

"Sonny introduced Cher to Spector, who used her as a backup singer on many recordings, including the Ronettes' "Be My Baby" and the Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'".[14] Spector produced her first single, the commercially unsuccessful "Ringo, I Love You", which Cher recorded under the name Bonnie Jo Mason.[15]"

    value is somewhere between 400-1200
