Get happy with this mono US pressing. Living sound fidelity.
Listen to the guitar solo played by Herb Ellis on track A4 "Beat me daddy, eight to the bar".
Anybody able to explain the meaning of "..., eight to the bar"?

Ella Fitzgerald, Sunshine Of Your Love, 1969, MPS Germany, 15 250

Don't pay attention to the AMG-review of Scott Yanow. He didn't listen to the vocals!
Ella is able to sing the guitar part of Eric Clapton in "Sunshine of your love" track A2. Scott Yanow was not able to listen.....

Willie, Kris, Brenda & Dolly, The Winning Hand, 1982, Monument Holland, 88611, 2LP

Beautiful rare duets. These 4 vocal aces do the duets in every possible combination, as the superb cover art shows. 20 winning songs.
Produced by Fred Foster. Who played the guitars? Anybody knows?

Sonny Rollins, Don't Ask, 1979, Milestone US, M-9090

Once again i have to complain about those critics, who aren't able to listen to the music they're writing about. They don't think about the future of a record. Hey, the song remains the same, but weeeee don't! After nearly 40 years we may listen with changed minds and ears! The critics were wrong.
So listen to track A3, the critically judged "Disco Monk". Underrated. Brisk! Great guitar playing by Larry Coryell.
Monk and disco is a superb and witty mixture..........
P.S. I never was a fan of disco music.

Modern Jazz Quartet, Same, 1957, Atlantic USA, 1265

Reissue of unknown year. Probably 70ies. Why didn't they make a notice of the issue of this pressing? There are so many words used by Nat Hentoff on back cover, so nobody will read all that, though it's interesting. But i want to know about the year of this reissue! Anybody knows?
Deadwax inscriptions on side A: STA-59191-T sf/atl inverted S with C and R included (Columbia, Santa Maria pressing?)
Very fine dynamics. Good US-pressing. Produced/recorded by Tom Dowd.
60 years of modern jazz music.......

It is a Lenco in a heavy plinth 15kilos. Tonearms are Ortofon AS212 and Tesla P1011, pickups are Shure V15III and Audio Technica AT13 with ATN14 stylus.
