Back Street Crawler, 2nd Street, 1976, Atlantic Germany, ATL 50 267

After the confused and disoriented debut album (see my last post), this one shows the very spirit of "Free with Paul Kossoff". Fine guitar playing in efficient way, simple and pure, as Kossoff was famous for. Great vocals by Terry Wilson-Slesser.
    Kossoff died March 19, 1976.

Paul Kossoff, Back Street Crawler, 1973, Island UK, ILPS 9264

This is not the debut of Back Street Crawler, but the 1973 solo album by Kossoff.
    A fine guitar album.
Listen to "Tuesday morning" 16:50 track on side A: wonderful!
B3 "Molten gold" vocals by Paul Rodgers with the whole Free crew.

Paul Kossoff, Koss, 1987, Castle Communications England, CLALP 127, 2LP

Mr. Big of efficiently and elegantly played Les Paul guitar.
Listen to mystic track A5 "Hole in the head" from 1974 Amazing Blondel album "Mulgrave Street" (anybody who owns this one?) with a fine solo by Koss.
B1 "You and me" featuring Jimmy Johnson guitar, recorded 1974 at Muscle Shoals.
Hey, this one is very interesting because of 11 previously unreleased tracks, many of them recorded live in June 1975 at Fairfield Halls, Croydon by Back Street Crawler.
    This is a gem.

Bob Dylan, Infidels, 1983, CBS Holland, 25539

Will Bob Dylan accept the Nobel Prize? I don't think so. Because Dylan knows for shure that Alfred Nobel (1833-1896), the Swedish inventor of dynamite, was "a merchant of death". He made all these wars possible!
So listen to track B1 "Man of peace": Bob Dylan sings "You know sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace".
Interesting Book: "Bob Dylan, Sein Leben und seine Musik, by Robert Shelton, Goldman Verlag, 1986, Germany, 800 pages".
    Congratulations to Bob Dylan!

The Bob Dylan Scrapbook 1956-1966, 2005, Simon & Schuster, USA

The illustrated early years with handwritten lyrics, rare photographs, removable documents and a 45-minute CD.
The CD contains many interesting interviews from 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966 and 2005.
Look at the poster of Newport Folk Festival 1963.
