English original pressing. Produced by Matthew Fisher, Procol Harum organist. Engineer Geoff Emerick at Air Studios.
Very important: the voice of James Dewar.

Underrated voice by James Dewar. Also this one was produced by Matthew Fisher.
This is the English original pressing with a warm, powerful sound. Superb dynamics. "Twice removed from yesterday": anybody able to explain this title to me?????
What interesting guitar player. A whiter shade of Jimi Hendrix.......

Golden Earring, Same, 1970, Polydor Germany, 2310 049

Hot august summer days in Switzerland. Perfect for this one: from crazy Holland. Track B1 "Back Home". A simple guitar riff and a flute. I also like track B4 "Big tree blue sea" very much. Jethro Tull or Golden Earring? I like both of them. But Jethro Tull is the original.
Powerful and simple riffed 1970 "Lokomotive breath" sound. It's always good to be back home.........

Procol Harum, Home, 1970, Polydor Germany, 2310 032

Listen to Robin Trower playing till his fingers bleed in track A1 "Whisky train". This was Robin's first strike.
Procol Harum was one of the greatest groups ever. I'd wish to understand all these crazy words and verses of Keith Reid sung by Gary Brooker. But after all this was Trower's album! Still there'll be more.....

    J is for JAZZ !

Jazz guitarst Jimmy Ponder on NPR KCBX - FM 95.1 Mc, San Luis Obispo, Ca.

10 Watt transponder, vicinity of Vandenberg AFB.

Clean as a polished whistle and very little compression.

Like FM broadcasts used to be when stations promoted the sale of music, not that of tires, insurance, and fast food. (et al)

Chet Atkins, The Other Chet Atkins, 1960, RCA Victor USA, LSP 2175

"Miracle Surface": this record contains the new revolutionary anti-static ingredient 317X, which helps to keep the record dust free.
Miracle guitar playing: this record contains perfect acoustic guitar playing technique by one of the most seminal Nashville studio cracks.
A hot august summer evening like today deserves this LP!!!! Look at the famous dog. What's his name? Dog days afternoon: listen loud and don't forget to dance.

Buddy Guy, Born To Play Guitar, 2015, RCA EU, 203 371, 2LP

Look at the front cover foto: hungry musician. Guitar eating will destroy your guitar. Attention to your teeth!!!!
I will put some sausages onto the grill.
Perfect dog day evening blues music. Buddy Guy. Who else?????

Procol Harum, Shine On Brightly, 1968, AM US, SP 4151

Track B2 "In Held Twas in I" was one of the first little rock operas. Everytime i listen to it, it sounds a little bit different. Some kind of kaleidoscope song.
