He is a folk/bluegrass songwriter - oddball/Mark Twain lyrics. He wrote Gentle On My Mind in 1967 which Glen Campbell turned into a mega-hit.

Beth Hart, Bang Bang Boom Boom, 2012, Provogue EU, PRD 7393 1

Simply the best female voice today. With her own written songs! On the road in Europa this summer.
Superbly produced by Kevin Shirley. Listen to track B3 with Joe Bonamassa's guitar solo in "There in your heart". Great! One of the most sexy cover art in LP history IMHO.

For your heart and soul: the perfect combination of guitar playing and female vocals. One of the best LPs of the last years.

Glitter grass from the nashwood hollyville strings. The Grease Brothers had big fun in the Sound Shop Studio in Nashville, Tennessee.

Great cover art work. Who created it? I have to go to work now. Bad weather with much rain this night and morning. This means, there will be a muddy St. Gallen Openair this week end.

Haycock Hunter Holt, H Factor, 1989, I.R.S. US. IRS 82021

Premium guitar combination by 2 of the most seminal guitar players.
Pete Haycock, with Climax Blues Band, guitarist extraordinaire, master of the slide guitar plays Höfner and Gordy guitars.
Steve Hunter, with Alice Cooper and Lou Reed et al., known as "El Grande" among guitar aficionados, plays Moser guitars.
Derek Holt was bass player with Climax Blues Band.
The H Factor first met as members of THE NIGHT OF THE GUITAR Tour in Europe 1989.
The group does a killer version of Wall of Voodoo's quirky hit "Mexican radio" on track B3.

Martin Stephenson & The Daintees., Gladsome, Humour & Blue, 1988, Metronome Germany

Listen to the beautiful sax solo by Michael Watson on track B5 "I pray". Haunting.

Here i am again on the corner again, back where i belong, where i've always been.

John Hartford - The Love Album
    (1968, RCA)

I don't have a couple of Hartford's early LPs, and today I run across this one in an antique mall on the way home from work for $4. His usual wise beyond years lyrics accompanied by banjo with a focus on relationships - much of it sounds like an expansion of his Gentle On My Mind masterpiece.

Sorry to hear about the bad weather there (but increases my odds of dry weather when I visit Switzerland and N. Italy in a few weeks!).

the only credits on the cover for the Barney Kessel LP are "Art Direction: DH Studio"
