Concerning my last post, i want to introduce two essential books about rock&pop music in Switzerland. Written in german language.
Swiss pop music of the sixties was very much influenced by the english music scene. Funny: the beat bands had splendid names: The Countdowns, Bull Train Skiffle Group, The Black Caps, The Baracudas, The Black Lions, The Red Lions, and so on, all sorts of wild animals.

What's the difference between these two different labels? Which one is the original of 1971?

Warner Bros used the Olive Green label in the US until ~1973, then switched over to the "Burbank" labels, so the Palm trees/Burbank label is a later issue. Incredible sound quality on those early Van Morrison records!

Listen to track A3 "A good travel agent": Ben Sidran introduces the history of jazz. Interesting.
