Great stuff this one! Very rare. From Australia. Condition sufficient for HIFI-pleasure? Mono LPs in sufficient condition are hard to find here in Europe. Most of them were mistreated badly........
Wonderful music for a bright Ascension Day morning.......
But i have to be satisfied with my 1990 UK Castle issue with some mediocre Mono versions of "All or nothing", "Don't burst my bubble", "Hey girl", "Tell me have you ever seen me", "Tin Soldier", "Every litlle bit hurts" and "Wat'cha gonna do about it".
Our ears were not made to hear stereo, but we have learnt to accustom to it......Life is MONO! Anybody who listens to quadrophonic equipment?

Small Faces, The Ultimate Collection, 1990, Castle England, CTVLP 004

Short people (remember the song by Randy Newman) with big instruments. Wonderful vocal harmonies. 7 titles in mono. Listen to keyboard playing by Ian McLagan. Top Mods excitement. Still sounds fresh and vital today.

I like the cover art painting: did you know, that the Agave plant (also called "Century plant") only blooms once in it's lifetime after several decades of growing?

Johnny Otis Show, Live At Monterey!, 1971, Epic England, S 64441

The historic R&B extravaganza that rocked the 1970 Monterey Jazz Festival. 2 LPs. Superb live recording dynamics. Esther Philips, Roy Brown, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, Big Joe Turner, Shuggie Otis and many famous players.......You should have been there. I was not......

First compilation. 2LPs. Without "Light my fire". But for collectors interesting because of 2 rare 45rpm B-sides: "Who scared you" and Willie Dixons "(You need meat) Don't go further" on tracks C5 and C6. Listen to the horns and guitar work on "Who scared you".

Many user traces may be seen around the spindle hole on your blue London LP label........Great stuff. A sparkling gem. All winners no fillers on this one. Here you see the French pressing by Kingdom Records that was founded by Caravan manager Terry King.
