Johnny Lewis Quartet - Shuckin' 'n Jivin'
    (1972, Jaro)

self published, recorded live, nice sound quality and nice grooves from the organ guitar drums tenor sax. standard fare nightclub stuff as the 2 star AllMusic review points out but I'm digging what they are laying down, they have my attention in a club. and yeah, nice collars dudes.

I was skeptical at first but after reading up on this and also confirming that this technology does NOT digitize the signal and after watching the first three minutes of the video (as far as I could get into it for now without getting bored by the "host"), this looks like a nice invention. You can easily adjust the lasers as needed (even on an LP to LP basis if needed) to read the part of the groove that has never been touched by a stylus (deeper in the groove than a stylus can reach) so you're basically listening to virgin vinyl. Will play severely warped LP's effortlessly and of course no wear to the LP's. Still need a great record cleaning system/machine of course.... I'm officially putting this toy on my birthday and holiday "wish lists" so everyone out there in this forum now know what to buy me!

    The Rugbys - Hot Cargo
    (1969, Amazon)

an unlikely thrift find last month. a pretty obscure record from a hard rock band from Louisville - compared to a cross between The Litter, Blue Cheer and The Sonics by AllMusic - which is in my wheelhouse. cleaned up to a nice playing VG+
