Neil Young - Zuma
I have a hard time choosing a favorite but this is a great LP and well recorded. I think I read (in the Neil Young biography - Shakey) a quote where he talks about starting with song idea for Cortez The Killer while in high school. quite a song, I wonder if even old Neil knew what he was getting at with those lyrics but that has never seemed to stop him (cough* Ride My Llama *cough) and it's a killer song.

Every time I listen to Cortez the Killer I can't help but think of the song by The Loud Family called "Cortex The Killer". Nice play on words/reference to Neil's classic song and a great song on it's own as well (be sure to listen past the "out there" intro when the song really kicks in). RIP Scott Miller 1960-2013 (leader/songwriter for The Loud Family and Game Theory--two of my favorite bands from the latter part of the 20th century and also from the 21st century). I love how Scott's songs often have that 60's feel to them. Amy Mann said in an interview "Scott Miller is the best songwriter out there, in my opinion. I often think about that when I'm writing: "Would Scott think this song is any good?""
and even better IMO -- Game Theory "Where Are You Going Northern"
Not one of my favorite FZ songs but the title seems to fit right here in this thread
