disk #1 was so good that I can't progress to #2 . It's the bluesy one with cuts from John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, Eddie Boyd , Peter B's Looners and Duster Bennett.

sounds like it was recorded yesterday . Found this tidbit on wiki ...

but quickly started playing a Gibson Les Paul with The Bluesbreakers and Green's guitar was often referred to as his "magic guitar". In 2000 he told Guitar Player magazine: "I never had a magic one. Mine wasn't magic...It just barely worked.". In part, his unique tone derived from the neck pickup having been installed with the magnet in reverse during a repair while on tour in America, resulting in an out of phase sound

I mistakenly thought that Peter was dead, but sounds like he's still around , doing his thang.

My favorite David Bowie LP as much for the jaw-dropping sonics as the great music.

I like some of Bowie's music but I LOVE this LP. Not only some of his best songwriting, but great performances and recordings of these songs as well. I love Rick Wakeman's keyboards on this LP (ex Strawbs, Yes, etc.)! This song has been stuck in my head since I read your post....

I've been immersed in the "Peter Green Anthology" set this week. The most outstanding cut so far is easily this one:

The Supernatural - John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
