I have the FLAC files of the Pink Floyd Immersion Set - WYWH- from both SACD & BluRay ....the BD version is significantly better.

Camper Van Beethoven - self titled
(1985, Independent Project) Propaganda, not lies / The Duck stops herein the deadwax, sides 1/2; mastered by John Golden at KDisc

a $1 thrift find earlier this week. all kinds of influences, and fairly tuneful music for a band coming out of the 80s California punk scene. I bet they put on a good show.

    Friendsound - Joyride
    (1969, RCA)

acid influenced guitar drenched tape loop studio experiments from Drake Levin, Phil Volk & Michael Smith formerly of Paul Revere and The Raiders plus a bunch of LA studio musicians, including Chris Etheridge, and "Grape Lemon" (?). 6 extended instrumental tracks. I wasn't expecting a lot but really enjoyed the first few tracks "Joyride" "Childhood's End" (Phil Volk and Smitty on shovel) "Love Sketch".

The Nihilist Spasm Band - Vol. 2
    (1979, Music Gallery Editions)

one of about 2 dozen amazing records that I found recently at a thrift store - I don't know how this and the other records ended up in a thrift store - that's why we look, cause you never know. Described as a noise band formed in the mid-60s in London, Ontario. freely improvised music performed on electric instruments created by the 7 musicians. The instruments approach the definition of guitar, bass, violin, along with drums, theremin, kazoo, spoken voice. Lots of bass, frantic drumming, and wailing and keening from the other instruments on side 1 so far, very enjoyable. a concert reviewer's note: "the most unimaginable howl of terrifying beauty... the unrelenting intensity of the nihilist's sonic napalm."

I found this info in the booklet , it was unknown to me

" Their big break came from Deram Records, an imprint of their Decca label, which in 1967 decided that it needed a long-playing record to promote its new "Deramic Stereo." The Moody Blues were picked for the proposed project, a rock version of Dvorak's New World Symphony, and immediately convinced the staff producer and the engineer to abandon the source material and permit the group to use a series of its own compositions that depicted an archetypal "day," from morning to night. Using the tracks laid down by the band, and orchestrated by conductor Peter Knight, the resulting album Days of Future Passed became a landmark in the band's history. The mix of rock and classical sounds was new, and at first puzzled the record company, but eventually the record was issued. This album, and its singles "Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon," hooked directly into the musical sides of the Summer of Love and its aftermath."

    earlier...

Gene Ammons, Sonny Stitt - Boss Tenors
    (1961, Verve) MONO, V-8426

    now...

Grant Green - The Main Attraction
(1976, KUDU) VAN GELDER in the deadwax; mastered by Rudy Van Gelder

KUDU 70s arrangements with horns but Green's loose, bluesy playing cuts through the funk like a hot knife through butter.
