A lot of people don't know that the "Go Now" album by the Moody Blues that you purchased (their first album) features Denny Laine from Wings and is a pre-Justin Hayward Moody Blues album. Justin joined for their next LP--they got him from a classified ad (what luck--getting Justin Hayward from a classified ad)!

    Moodies

I checked out this 2 CD import

it was rather an eye (ear ?) opener ...thot I knew the MB's ....but there is a lot of tracks that were new to me and different than what was expected.

    Disc 1. Steel [i.e. Steal] your heart away / Parker (2:13) -- Go now! / Banks, Bennett (3:10) -- I don't want to go on without you / Berns, Wrexler (2:43) -- From the bottom of my heart (I love you) / Pinder, Laine (3:24) -- Everyday (1:47) ; Stop! (2:04) / Laine, Pinder -- Bye bye bird / S. Williamson, W. Dixon (2:48) -- Boulevard de la Madeleine (2:54) -- This is my house (but nobody calls) (2:34) -- Life's not life (2:32) / M. Pinder, D. Laine -- Fly me high / J. Hayward (2:50) -- Love and beauty / M. Pinder (2:22) -- Nights in white satin (4:22) ; Cities (2:21) ; Tuesday afternoon (4:48) ; Voices in the sky (3:26) / J. Hayward -- Ride my see-saw / J. Lodge (3:43) -- Lovely to see you / J. Hayward (2:36) -- Dear diary / R. Thomas (3:47) -- Never comes the day / J. Hayward (4:42) -- Eyes of a child / J. Lodge (2:34) -- Watching and waitin / Hayward, Thomas (4:17) -- Question / Hayward (4:55) -- Candle of life / Lodge (3:13).

    Yes - Yessongs
    (1973, Atlantic)

an old favorite. The transition from Opening (excerpt from "Firebird Suite") to Siberian Khatru on Volume I/Side 1 still raises the hair on the back of the neck. I'd go back to see a show from that 1972 tour if I could time-travel.
