so it was an OK weather prediction today , a little sunny. Headed out to the flea mkt to test my new home made panniers ....store bought ones are $80+ and still not big enough to hold records ....Last week I bought 2 new identical LEEDS waterproof nylon square briefcases that convert to backpacks ...... records fit just so nice into them ....they had all the right fittings and looked good * ....$6 total.
the flea mkt "closed record store vendor" had some new stock ...I bought these 7 ...the Tull is a double, the Guess Who is a quad, all fine condition...$7 by the time I loaded up the pannys,** headed out and it was snowing ... now a real test ...10 more miles to go in my loop, but the vinyl came home in great shape ...![]()
* they had Sherri's Restaurant "we make the best pies" embroidered on each one ...that got black sprayed quickly, but didn't completely cover...so now they have American flag patches overlayed, hiding Sherri![]()
**each side is good for abt 10 records , I don't often get more than the 20 capacity on a bike trip.![]()
