Classic rockabilly record with such legendary trax like Honey Hush, Lonesome Train, RockaBilly Boogie, All By Myself, The Train Kept A Rollin', Your Baby Blue Eyes.
Raw distorted [almost garage] guitar sound

Big inspiration for Yardbirds, Led Zepp. The Beatles, The Stones, Stray Cats and many other retro/rockabilly bands.

Jimmie Spheeris - The Dragon Is Dancing
    (1975, Epic)

3rd record from Spheeris. I first heard his 1971 debut record, Isle Of View, a few years ago, really enjoy it, so I snapped this up when I saw it recently. The first record was moody guitar and piano based folk-rock; this record is still driven by his songwriting and vocals, but with rock and jazz-rock arrangements. Chick Corea plays here.

    Fairport Convention - Babbacombe Lee
    (1971, A&M)

Fairport Convention for this record consisted of Simon Nichol, Dave Mattacks, Dave Swarbrick, Dave Pegg. A concept record based on the life of a victorian era murderer. With a custom gatefold record jacket, booklet, and the record label includes a paragraph of text introducing that side's events in Lee's life. I picked this up at HPB for a fiver last month.

I've been playing the Muddy Waters - Folks Singer recording quite a bit lately ...
he's a bit shouty in places - but its an amazing recording - great presence!
astonishing that its from 1963 - highly recommended!
    (Thanks Ducatista47!)

Berlin days with Bowie. This is the night of iguana.

    I'd feel tragic
    Like I was Marlon Brando

When I'd look at my China Girl
