Yeah, you're right . I even bought their other Lp's pretty cheap.
Good music + low price = Great !

    Rick Roberts - Windmills
    (1972, A&M)

a terrific sounding early 70s A&M recording, with really nice low frequencies from the bass and drums. The first solo record from Roberts after the breakup of the Flying Burrito Brothers. with David Crosby, Dallas Taylor, Marc Benno, Randy Meisner, Bernie Leadon, Don Henley, Jackson Browne, Chris Hillman, Al Perkins, and Byron Berline. One of a few Roberts' records that I ran across in the thrift bins yesterday. The cover suffers from ringwear, but the LP is excellent after vacuum clean and rinse cycles on the VPI 16.5 RCM.

81 in Portland today ...decided to go ride along the river. Passed CRM and had to stop in. They have 35 independent vendors and my fav has the best condition & selection of dollar records in the whole place. He seems to restock by artist. This time there was a lot of Rolling Stones, so that's mainly what I ended up with. $7 total. (well actually $6.30 ....I was first one in the door at 11am ....asked the clerk if first customer of the day gets a discount ...he gave me 10% off )

    Al Stewart - Love Chronicles
(1969, RCA Takeoff) NL 25375 German pressing

with Jimmy Page on guitar on the 18 minute title song, and 4 members of Fairport Convention Simon Nichol (credited as "Simon Breckenridge"), Martin Lamble (as Martyn Francis), Richard Thompson ("Marvyn Prestwick") and Ashley Hutchings. Terrific soundstage and a lot of fun to hear Page and the Fairport players on a nice set of Stewart's folk rock songs. A $4 pickup at HPB this week.
