Don't take it too literally. I mean I've always had a hard time of finding good, cheap vinyl in my neck of the woods. Not that many garage type sales I guess, and many of the old LP shops have gone belly up the past few years.

I discovered record shows this last year ..they arent well advirtised , only $2-3 admission , and tons of cheap vinyl ....it takes something special to make me pay over $1-2 per and even then I come home with lots....

Oh yeah..on some records that I just cant find and give up looking ...have gone to eBay ..they can be surprisingly cheap.

    where are you located ??
come on over to Portland...we'll fill you up...

got over to CRM today and spent $4 ...realized that I didnt have a great copy of "Dream" , TYA & Santana are always great ...and I got the boxed double OST of Tommy with the picture book ..mint

Nice albums there, Seawolf. I live in upstate NY, so usually have to go to the Albany area for a vinyl fix.

Now if you really are a "low freak" , mebbe vinyl isnt the best for you..others can tell you what the low cutoff is, but it isn't THAT low.

did a long ride on a nice day ...picked out abt 20 , but only 3 passed condition QC ...the LRB is a double..

    The Concert for Bangladesh

Streaming now on my iMac through my JBL home office system. Stream the movie free today and tomorrow at http://www.georgeharrison.com in celebration of the 40th anniversary on August 1.

This is a landmark event, seminal in the annals of rock'n'roll. It's amazing to see George and co. in their prime. We've come so far, and yet we've gone nowhere.

Yeah but it's not just the low notes. I'm talking 'bout low sodium, low choles/fat, low aggro, low budget, low BS, and other minimalisms.

I'm on vacation, and just now getting some time on wifi in sunny Cannes, after driving down from Switzerland yesterday. I'm missing the spins of the licorice pizza, but having a great time with family, including an amazing wedding party.

I saw a couple of interesting pressings including Kinda Kinks on the Marbe Arch sub label of Pye, UK pressing, in the record collection at a bed and breakfast. Wish I could listen to it at home!

    sometimes you get lucky

    .
stopped by the GW Dump (as-is) and dug thru piles of Christmas/religious/Hawaii Lp's and was abt to quit, when these 2 popped up .... they are both doubles and look like unplayed condition ....the FM album doesnt have much info on the web ..tho still has a $11.99 sticker on it

    Reviews:
    by Richie Unterberger
From the same 1969 Boston gigs that produced Jumping At Shadows, this double album's appeal is more limited, with a heavier emphasis on straight blues boogie and eccentric fifties rock & roll parodies that featured Jeremy Spencer. Highlights are the 16-minute version of the British hit "Green Manalishi" and the 24-minute version of "Rattlesnake Shake."

The live version of "Rattlesnake Shake" on this album had to be the greatest guitar jam ever recorded, to date, at that time in '69.
Three outstanding guitarists, Spencer, Kirwin and Green trading licks across the stage... driven/supported by the incomparable Mick Fleetwood and John McVie on drums and bass.
It still kicks arse today and will certainly should make anyones' top ten list for greatest guitar jams of all time...it's still #1 on my list!

    Amazon.com on Sam Cooke

A 28-track best-of giving conclusive proof that soul's doomed golden boy was a singer of exquisite control and grace. Opening with a couple of Soul Stirrers gospel gems, The Man & His Music packs together most of Cooke's great pop sides, from the airily lovely "You Send Me" all the way to the majestic "A Change Is Gonna Come."

on Amazon , with 28 customer reviews....27 are 5 star
