I've always been a fan of
"The Dog, the dog, he's at it again"

racy stuff, but such a great melody

    With classic lyrics like this:

Oh-o Lonely girl, would you like a sweet to eat?
I've got something that I'd like you to hold
And my brother will tell you that it's good for your cold
So, there, surely there is nothing wrong
Take my hand and we'll try to make a stand
For all censorship, decency, all night long

You're naive if you really do believe
That the world is so full of sin
Never look back on the things that you lack
    When you're in
My mother said that I should stay out of bed
But I know that I like it in there
Legs and thighs, hellos and goodbyes
    It's all there

    Oh my oh

    (Suck a sugar, dandy, rock'n'roll
Lick a-licking lozenge cures the soul)

Here is my cure for colds
And here is my cure for measles
    When you've tried those
    If you've infected your toes
Well you're surely in luck, you'll get a stunning good show
So if you come with me
We'll try to clean the inside out
This filthy old world is such a beautiful girl
And you must have a sweet
I'm sure it's good for your feet

You're naive if you really do believe
That the world is so full of sin
Never look back on the things that you lack
    When you're in
My mother said that I should stay out of bed
But I know that I like it in there
Legs and thighs, hellos and goodbyes
    It's all there

    Oh, medicine gone
    It's coming on strong
It's coming on and on and on and on

Yep, them Canterbury brits were really something!

picked up this 1996 Advent sampler/demo ....they sure do know how to make those sound fine ...its titled "Bach to Rock" ..50 cents..never opened.

also stopped at the game store to check for vinyl, but instead found this 2 DVD set for "Ray" ..not bad for a dollar

    Danny Kirwan - self titled
    (1976, DJM) Promo/NFS

US issue of Kirwan's 2nd LP, Midnight in San Juan. This is a first listen and I'm enjoying. Catchy tunes with good playing and singing. But I am a fan of Bare Trees and Future Games, Kirwan's highlight records with Fleetwood Mac.

I once heard a song from Encore, Brian Auger & Julie Tippetts, from 1978. It was one of the best things I ever heard. Tippetts is Julie Driscoll's married name. It has been issued in everything from vinyl to Japanese CD.

The CD's are commanding a premium, but a vinyl addict might find a bargain.

thats one on my permanent "looking for" list .....she does one of the great versions of
"Light My Fire" , holding onto that last FIRE for a very long time ..

    wanna trade for it ??

snagged these this week ....hadn't seen the RP album before , the JA album has a fantastic ending on "A Child is Coming" ...where they are playing the feedback , making it tuneful. Double of Willie & Leon seemed like a fun thing for 85 cents.

OBTW: I picked up the double of Manassas a bit back...put it on the TT and the arm was tracking up and down like crazy..guess I missed that when grabbing at the show.
anyway , I placed it under one of the 4671's (103 pounds) for a week ,,,,,,they is sure FLAT now....
