Jimi Hendrix, People, Hell And Angels, 2013, Legacy US, 419021, Lim. Ed. No. 00109

Beautiful cover artwork. 2LP, FOC, Booklet, 200 gr virgin vinyl.
Exciting new music including "Somewhere" on track A2 with Stephen Stills and Buddy Miles. Listen to swinging track C1 "Easy blues".
Great rock history! Superb booklet with extensive liner notes.
Very fine US vinyl. Perfect pressing.
    Humming Stratocaster sound.
My favorite track is D1 "Hey Gypsy Boy", because it's simple, pure and very very intensive. But the guitar is not perfectly tuned. Such is life! Isn't it?
    A highlight!
One for the exile on the island. Where is the island? Is there any power supply?

Pamela DesBarres, Im Bett mit Rockgöttern, Heyne Germany, 2008

Groupies shouldn't write books. "It's only rock'n'roll but i write it....."
For me it was not deemed acceptable to read all 528 pages of this book. Monkey business.
But listen to Pamela's husband! He had something to say. So look at my next post.

Robb Kreiger Band played headliner in a huge roster for the Mark in the Morning Holidays concert in Hollyweird this past December. They absolutely, especially Rob, tore it up. I was amazed at the fire in them. Don't know the age of his bandmembers but he's got to be pushing 70! Not that it necessarily matters, but the performance was incendiary.

Looking for a great music DVD?

    " Premonition " John Fogarty

Stunning, the music AND the visual. Way swampy.

You'll be watching your back for alligators and brushing spanish moss out of your hair... and chooglin'

with Larry Coryell, L. Subramanian. Golderg on a Steiner-Parker synthesizer actually blends in nicely with the intensity of Subramanian's playing on Violin, Viola, Tampura and Coryell on 6 & 12 string guitar.
