Many beautiful songs. Songs and cover art are a bit depressive. Listen to the beautiful "One in a hundred" A5.
Indeed, this one is one of the best in a hundred of albums.

French pressing.
Billy Preston, organ. Saxophon and leader of orchestra: King Curtis.
The Kingpins are: Dupree, Jemmott, Purdie, Morales, Thomas.

Listen to tracks B2/B3 with the reprise of "Spirit in the dark" as Ray Charles replaces Aretha after she says: "Would you play just a little bit for us?" leading into a hot soul jamming: Oh Aretha......

Some kind of tragedy. Great guitar playing. But he can't write any songs. No, not only one little pretty one....
Ask Paul McCartney!

Legend is: this is the worst album ever. True or not?
It's the album previously released in 1970, called " Lord Sutch and heavy friends".
A weird one because of the strange vocals by "Screaming" Lord Sutch. But there's interesting guitar playing by Page and Beck. Yardbirds meets Led Zeppelin. Rock music history!
Listen to Jimmy Page's solo in B6 "Baby come back".
Forget the vocals......

German 1970ies Bellaphon pressings are among the best vinyl issues in Europe. Incredible dynamics. In USA this one is named "Baby Batter".
These jam tracks were recorded live in A&M Studios, San Francisco. Larry Taylor, bass.
Howard Wales, fantastic organ playing in track A4 "Morton Grove Mama".
Note on back cover: Special thanks to Harry Nilsson wine consultant and bearer.
To Hank Cicalo, master of the 16 tracks, is payed tribute in "Hank the ripper" B3. Listen to that slow 12 bar blues with so much feeling teased out of the Gibson Les Paul.

Congratulation to you, because you have reached the amount of 5000 posts. I will never reach it in my life, because i write too much. I always need much time to translate correctly from Swiss German into English language. But it's getting better all the time. But there' s a lot to say and ask about these fantastic vinyl treasures......
