Good dynamics on this German original pressing. Accoustic instruments driven rock'n'roll. Important piano tunes by Ian McLagan though the credit list notes "Mac not available due to bus strike". In fact the US release credits him as piano player, suggesting he was dubbed later. Who else?
Ron Wood's soulful masterwork with the magic of a swirl. Earthly connected. Simple and pure.

Yesterday in Schaffhausen: 2 hours at Bruno's Vinyl-Brocki. 2 hours full of music pleasure. As result a bunch of inspiring vinyl-LPs in my bag. Let's forget the bad weather today after 2 weeks of Swiss "Indian summer".
    This one for 12 SFr.
Great dynamics on this German pressing. 50 years old vinyl!
This is the masterwork of Eric Gale. Listen to Allen Toussaint's "Get out of my life" B2.

    Joe Pass/Jimmy Rowles, Checkmate, 1981, Pablo US, D 2310 865

Liner note on back cover by Joe Pass: What makes Jimmy so interesting to work with is that there is a freedom to his playing. You can't anticipate what he does.

Groundhogs, Solid, 1974, WWA England, WWA 004 De Luxe

Bluesrock trio with guitar-effects-wizard Tony McPhee. Which style of bluesrock? In the strange style of the early 70ies when everything was possible in rock music, especially in England.....

That sounds like a great shopping trip, Fritz. Schaffhausen is not too far north of Zurich...I might need to make a trip to that store when I visit CH next year.

German 80ies reissue. Good dynamics. Funny memories. And a little bit of free jazz at the end of "Rip off" B6 by Ian McDonald (sax) and Burt Collins (Flügelhorn).
    Cult cover picture by Hipgnosis.
Hey, we used to dance to "Ride a white swan" in dancing course in 1971 in St. Gallen at "Bentele's Tanzschule". The name of the dance was called "The Beat".
Our female dancing instructor Miss Bentele was about 80 years old. Picture yourself these weird scenes in the gold mine........

Yes, great tunes from Germany and Russia!
"Repent Walpurgis" B5. Early 18th century. Weimar. Leipzig. Johnny Sebastian Bach. Two bombastic fat 20th century guitar solos by Robin Trower. With a quotation of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No1. 19th century. St. Petersburg. Moskau. Music roots history!
Walpurgis leads us to Heidenheim and on top of the Brocken mountain.
The first big little classicrock opera. A witches' feast.

The Shiver, Walpurgis, 1969, Garden Of Delights Germany, LP 003, Nr. 866

A witches' feast on top of the Matterhorn.
This one is a 2010 reissue with perfect dynamics because it's a limited edition of 1000 copies. (That's only possible in a little country like ours!)
