    L-250's ti upgrades...

Here's a couple pic of my new L-250's with TI tweeters, but standard paper cones. Sound great, really smooth on the top end.

    Very nice !

We have almost identical L250's - rosewood and no grilles. Too bad we're a continent apart - I'd like to hear the difference between them. I have the 104H poly upper mid but the standard 044 tweeter. I see you're running tubes but I'm not sure from the picture what they are. I'm still stuck on big transistor power that rattles the cabinets two rooms away :-). Probably can't touch the warm sound of the tubes tho...

I have the grills for mine as well. I'm using Quicksilver KT88 monoblocks but the top end seems a little bland for my tastes, so I might go back to ss power. The tubes with the 4333's were nice.

    Hello lpd,
    Looks very nice,
    You've one big Stone Underside
Did you check biamp with ss amps before?
I think the bassspeaker is a beast.
Now, I've a Tubepreamp and ss amp for my 250ti.
In the Future I'll check biamp.

Thanks Figge, but looks better, because I'm not so happy with the monosub.
I think about two smaller ones

Nice clean looking gear there. I hooked my Threshold S-150 to the 250's and now they are singing. The Threshold has a velvet like midrange and really great low end. I might drop the mid/high on the networks to tame the top end a notch, but I'm interested how this affects the frequencies?

I'll try to remember to run you a voltage drive tonight. L250 network and not 250Ti network right?

Well, before adjusting the networks I adjusted the placement of the speakers and was quite suprised. I moved them further apart and not only did the soundstage open up, but the top end blended in well. I find the bass very transparent.
