Picking up a pristine pair of Altec Model 15's on friday! 200 bones.
He says the woofers were "sourced by RCA for Altec".... Is this a fancy way of saying the woofers weren't original?


anyone know which woofer was in these things so I can make sure?

I believe the "sourced by RCA" can reasonably be interpreted as they
are stock, as RCA provided a number of drivers to Altec. The compression
drivers hanging off the bent horns, in working condition, are generally
worth more than your cost. The woofers often need to have the foam
surround replaced. Nice find, regardless.
