TiK series was available in black also, but the vented models do have front-mounted ports.

I'm drawing a blank - perhaps it's a model that was not introduced in the U.S. market and with which I would therefore not be familiar - there are unfortunately a number of those .

Hopefully one of the other knowledgeable folks here will be able to help you. Best of luck!

P.S., can you simply call the seller and ask him or her to look for a model number on the speaker, or minimally send you a photo?

Has the -appearance- of JBL (PC series) or Revel mid/bass drivers, but
can't tell about the tweeter, and have never seen a JBL or Revel model like this.
What indication do you have that it's JBL-related?

I would want verifiable information from the seller before proceeding further
(if I were in your place).
Here's the photo, for general interest:

Agreed - I'm not at all familiar with this model either. If it is a JBL, I'd have to believe there is a model number somewhere on the box.

I don't see any reason to believe it is a JBL other than the seller's word. The tweeter doesn't look like anything from JBL, even in the poor picture. JBL would never make such a blatant Thiel rip-off. Instead, I'd point my finger at one of the lesser known brands - rbh comes to mind. Here's a picture of one of theirs - drivers look awfully close...

If I'm wrong, show me better pictures and I'll eat my socks.

I would want to see the rear of the speaker, grills and a better look at the bases. The base almost look water damaged, I have an old laptop and no tools to enlarge...but unless I was looking for this special speaker for a long time, enough flags go up to say wait for the next one unless more factual information becomes available. They don't look like JBL to me but there are many JBLs I don't know

HCS, I don't have pictures but you better wash those socks IMHO
