JBL 2470 16 Ohm Normal DCR???

I am trying to determine what would be considered the expected DCR reading for a JBL 2470, 16 Ohm driver with a phenolic diaphragm? I am reading 10.3, but notice that some after market titanium replacement diaphragms show 6.3. Does the different material account for the difference? Thank you.

    Cool D16r2470

My spare measures 10.0, so 10.2 is right there in the ballpark.

Aftermarket Ti is a different story than original Phenolic... If the AM ones were any good, they would have the same resistance as stock, but most of them don't. Also they almost always forget to put damping material on the diamond surrounds like an original 2425 'phragm has.

The only AM one I kept (after trying several different styles) are the Ti with Tangental surrounds. Just as a spare, it sounds about the same as the rest of the AM junk...
