    Depends on the implementation.

    If they really were new, the price of $69 each was decent because I think JBL charge well over $100 per unit. But I could be wrong.

    053Ti's are used in the LSR range of active monitors. They are good, detailed, HF units. However, I find my (second-hand) 6328's top end a bit subdued and the overall presentation a bit dark, lacking some air and openess. I also have a pair of smaller and older LSR25P's, also using the 053Ti, which do sound more airy and open

    Edit: S probably just stands for shielded
