The L100s have more collectable significance. I think many feel as though the L166s sound better.

A pair of L112s would work nicely with a pair of L150As. Or L96s if you want to go a bit smaller.
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

    Smaller?

Hard to know the difference in the dark, after a "few"

Only when undressed, in the light of day, are two inches "lacking" for more

And THAT'S a maybe, I'm still trying to decide on that one!

Well, we're mostly guys here so I suppose we all think size doesn't matter. Though to many, two-inches would be a big deal. I prefer the L112 to the L96 (yes, I have both), so maybe size does matter . . . two-inches in the box and two-inches in the cone.

My "little" L96s are actually larger than my 4412As; so maybe size doesn't matter.

But then my L80Ts are larger than both, so obviously box-size isn't all of it!

"It's not the size of the boat but the motion in the ocean"

Looking to be more and more the case with the "96" compared to the "112".

There is no doubt (to my ears) the "96" possess more finesse.

Which is better? Still not ready to issue a proclamation to that effect, but it's obvious my leanings.

Both fine examples of JBL, the "10" just seems to be proving itself to be a bit more "refined", more believable, in a purely musical way.

I'm not smart enough to deal with measurements and numbers.

Girth is the one true answer and the L112 fulfills that requirement.
