    16 ohm speakers 8 ohm stereo ???

    hello,i was lucky enough to run into a pair of altec flamecos at an estate sale and snatched them up.they are replacing some ess amt1b speakers.my amplifier is a sansui 9090 8 ohm.the speakers are 16 ohm.what are the pros and cons of this set up.they do sound great.thanks.

    The only problem is that that maximum power will reduced, by the 16 ohm load.
