What is the difference between a 123A-1 and a 123A-3? In a pair of L100's would I hear a difference between the 2 cabinets?
had L25,L36,L40,L120,L300,AquariusIV(2),S1,4408 have L65,L100,L222,DorianS12,B380
The 123A-1 is a positive LF - opposite JBL convention.
The 123A-3 is a negative LF, maintaining JBL convention.
If you were to swap-in a 123A-3 into a L100, reverse wire it AT the transducer binding posts (i.e., connect GRN to Black).
If you Search the Forum for these, you should find some discussion re: the L100 series. The 123A-3 is used in the "L100 Late Model", and can be replaced by the 2213H (negative, and used in the 4312) without reversing polarity.
