Altec 604e

Does anyone have a schematic for the crossover for a 604e?


Also are these 604 some what easy to come by? I have 1 and soon I will be looking to buy another?

The 604e is fairly common, but singles not so much.

Jammin' Jersey has one at the moment for $700--kinda high, but there it is. Like I say, singles don't pop up all that often. The one they have has been reconed. I believe the woofer in the 604e is supposed to be 16 ohm. Make them check it for you to be sure it has the correct voice coil.

Thanks for that info. I have seen more singles on ebay then anything else, as far as the 604 goes. I just haven't seen a lot of the e series ones. But I know they do that so they can get the most money for them.


But ya I figured it might take me a while to find one.

If it gets tough to find one buy a pair and sell the single.

Thats an idea but I'm hoping it doesn't come to that. My friend gave me the one. Shelling out 1500 or so bucks is a little more than I can handle in my unemployed state right now LOL.
