    His wife Laurie Anderson, an icon in her own right, has published her own obituary. Her message of love for her husband appears in The East Hampton Star, the Long Island local paper from where she and Reed had been spending time over the past few years “even though [they're] city people, [it] is [their] spiritual home.”
